This wedding day started before sun came up as I hit the road to make the hour and half drive to Creekwood Gardens in Simsboro, LA. so I could begin shooting just after sunrise. Sarah and Tyler had planned a 10AM wedding ceremony for this May 6th Saturday . In my 10yr of shooting weddings I have had the pleasure of shooting at Creekwood Gardens several times, but never an early morning wedding.
We all know most weddings have a tendency to run behind schedule so it really surprised me when my cell phone rang as I was taking detail shots and it was Sarah saying she was all dressed and ready for some bridal portraits. I was excited as we now had plenty of time and didn’t have to be rushed. Future Brides take note!!! We took advantage of the early morning sun and worked it until it was time for her first look with Tyler. We found us a beautiful location where the couple could share this private moment together. During the first look these two hugged, exchanged gifts and shared a prayer before heading off for a few couple pics and then the ceremony followed by the reception. I have to say the food and cake (see my instagram post) were amazing. Lots of neat breakfast foods at this one vs the usual chicken, pork or brisket of evening weddings. I do have to high five for the Cajun shrimp and grits that morning. They were great and took care of my morning hunger in the best way possible!! Thanks Tyler and Sarah for allowing me to share you wonderful wedding with you. Here are a few from my time with them.
